Pizza Chef (Full-Time ) For New Venue On Tasman

The position will entail coordination with Front of house staff, Suppliers and Accounts Department. The business is focused on delivering a high-quality product with a strong emphasis on using only the best available Italian ingredients and local seasonal produce.

The role requires the applicant to be extremely knowledgeable about the Italian ingredients used on premises, regional differences and quality.

  • You will be in charge of daily prep and supervising junior prep staff Maintain standards for health & safety at work in all food preparation areas.
  • Conduct and/or attend training and development sessions as instructed by the Executive Chef.
  • Maintain standards for food safety in all food preparation areas
  • Maintain correct stock levels and prepare monthly stock taking on the 1st day of each month
  • Ensure that the kitchen’s food stock and dry goods’ storage areas are maintained to a high level of cleanliness, hygiene, quality and order
  • Be in charge of daily ordering to meet trading requirements
  • Maintain food and labor cost and meeting weekly budgets
  • Check that all sections are ready before service
  • Appraise staff and be in charge of disciplinary actions when required
  • Spot check all dishes to comply with quality, presentation, and temperature
